The area of Bangtao beach was once used for tin mining but these days it is another luxurious beach occupied by the Laguna Phuket; comprises of 6 massive five stars hotels with 18-hole golf course, deluxe spas and boutique shopping at the middle of the beach. However, other lower cost accommodations also available at the beach south end. Apart form accommodations, there are many more facilities and activities available for tourists for example restaurants and bars, tour companies, water sports and horseback riding along the beach.
